Today, The Balvenie is one of the very few Scotch whisky distilleries to:
• Grow its own barley - harvested from nearby fields.
• Operate a traditional floor maltings - turning and germinating the barley by hand.
• Employ a resident coppersmith - to maintain and repair the stills.
• Keep a team of coopers on-site - to care for and re-char casks.
This approach allows The Balvenie to maintain exceptional quality control and preserve time-honoured skills.
The Balvenie Style
