This single malt has been matured in American, Spanish and Mizunara oak – the result is a spectacularly complex, opulently elegant whisky. With 2023 making a century since the Yamazaki Distillery was founded, there’s no better moment to add this landmark expression to your collection.
Nose: Rich, aromatic tobacco notes alongside tree resin, orange oil furniture polish and almonds. Dried flowers add a delicate lift, while fine marmalade and a luxurious dark chocolate wrap it all up.
Palate: Sumptuously decadent, there’s more of that dark chocolate, this time with honey, walnut, dark fruits, crème brulée and even freshly unboxed cigars. Bittersweet and lavish in equal measure.
Finish: Long, winding and complex, with dark fruits, this time enveloped in oaky spices.
