While the team at Galway’s Ahascragh wait for its eco-distilling dreams to come to fruition, they’ve released this Irish blend, made from an array of sourced whiskeys. We’ve got Irish pot still, single malts and grain whiskeys all expertly married together in this UAIS expression. The bottle is made from recycled glass, the label is made from reycled paper, there’s a sustainble stopper, and even a biodegradebale seal!
Tasting note:
Nose: A delicate black pepper spice opens proceedings, before toasted pecan nuts, toasted oak and even maple syrup arrive.
Palate: A creamy mouth-feel holds Victoria sponge cake, flapjacks, salted caramel and orchard fruits.
Finish: Medium length with honey and more pepper.
