Tomintoul 17 Year Old 2005 Pedro Ximénez Sherry Finish 46% ABV

Speyside single malt Scotch producer Tomintoul is celebrated for its sherry-influenced drams – and this well-aged Pedro Ximénez-finished expression is no exception. Distilled back in 2005, it was aged for 17 years before a finishing period in PX butts from Fernando de Castilla, and then bottled with no chill-filtration.

Tasting note:

Nose: Lively and spicy, there’s cinnamon and nutmeg in with dried dark fruits, citrus peels and boiled sweets.

Palate: More sweet spices on the creamy palate, along with a rich nuttiness, Christmas cake and a subtle earthiness.

Finish: Long with the earthy spices lingering on.
