Tobermory 11 Year Old / 2007 / 62.4% / 70cl Sherry Butt finish Limited Edition
This limited edition sherry cask finish is a demonstration of our Hebridean island artistry. Originally distilled and filled into whisky refill hogsheads on the 2nd November 2007, it was then finished in sherry butts for 22 months. Non-chill filtered and natural colour like all our single malts.
This dram can be left to open on its own or add a drop or two of water at room temperature to discover a nice smooth balanced palate that will deliver from the first sip.
Nose: Very rich and smooth notes of red orchard fruits, toffee caramel, soft gentle mint, creamy citrus and light coastal aroma. Dried apricots, dates, and sultana, honey nut brittle.
Palate: Sherry notes on the palate are amazing, a freshness is also present leading to a rich note of sultanas hints of chocolate and sweet figs, some classic candied orange and lemon peel, a fruity lingering long finish on the palate.
