Starward Two-Fold 40% ABV
One of Australia’s most exciting distillers, Starward is obsessed with two things: flavour and wine barrels. This Two-Fold bottling takes both into account. It’s made from grain whisky and matured in lightly charred or steamed wine barrels from local wineries. This makes use of Shiraz, Cabernets and Pinot Noirs casks for a fabulously fruity whisky that works tremendously with tonic.
Nose: Big, bold and bright, with red berries, plums, baking spices, figs and a vanilla spice.
Palate: There’s a sumptuous mouthfeel with lashings of caramel, more berries, apricot, cinnamon spice, and a dusting of ground coffee beans.
Finish: Long with drying oak and cinnamon.
