Here is a dram you might not have expected but always wanted

Nose: A punchy start as expected with the ABV over 60% so take your time and let it wash over your senses Burnt oak, sweet purple heather and dry spices, peat and iodine in equal measure take you to a wind swept Islay shoreline, crispy toffee apple shell, oily with hints of leather and dried turmeric.

Palate: Does this need water you are thinking as you are hit by a volcanic wave of taste from the moment it hits your palate indeed if not before! A sweetness arrives for a second before burning embers and robust smoke peat and spice flow into the front of the palate, as you settle into this dram it becomes all too easy to sit back and sip away as smoked apple and cured meats come into play before a rush of iodine / seaweed with dark fruits come into play.

With a drop of water this is a much easier yet complex dram with all of the above but a little more spaced out, maybe a little less of the fruits but still superb.
