A wonderful 46-year-old release made from stocks laid down by the Gordon family – the people behind William Grant & Sons. This double-matured blended Scotch was first crafted in 1994 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the oldest recorded reference to Scotch. Since then, it’s been ageing for a further 28 years and has gained remarkable complexity, unity and character. Limited to 528 bottles, it’s a beautiful piece of whisky history.

Tasting note:

Nose: Luxuriously sweet with syrup, warming baking spices and cinnamon, backed by old library books.

Palate: Surprising moments of smoke, alongside lemon meringue pie, orchard fruits, croissants, and more of those spices.

Finish: Smooth with more of that gentle smoke.
