Nose: First thing to hit you is the complexity of the nose, its rich and nicely balanced, some red apples, damson and dates, hints of rich chocolate and red velvet, some spiced fruits and hand rolled tobacco leaves, a sweet tangy orange and candy note.
Palate: A nice rich palate with a mix of sweet and herbal tones, a warming sweet spice, some clove and brandy butter arrive first, dark fruits with a nice taste of chewy dates, damsons and sultana, orange peel, mature oak and Hobnob biscuits.
A lingering smooth finish with a lasting Christmas spice and a touch of summer berries.
