A light, bright and cheery single malt from Speyside’s Linkwood Distillery. Like early summer in a glass, the whisky started life in refill hogsheads before spending a two-year finishing period in first-fill Oloroso casks. Despite the expected sherry influence, it remains fresh and vibrant. A dram for sipping with friends long into a sunny evening. Just 1,286 bottles are available.
Tasting note:
Nose: An abundance of aromatic fruits and citrus peels, strawberries and cream, apricots and gentle sweet spices.
Palate: More fruit, along with fresh green malt, softly warming spices, and a crack of black pepper.
Finish: Medium length, drying into gentle cinnamon.
