A stunning Armagnac expression here, distilled back in 1998 and released by L’Encantada, an indie bottler set up by a group of spirits-loving friends. We're big fans here at Milroy's.
Nose: Sweet note of soft oak , vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, with some soft minty tones and spice, grapes and soft pear notes in the background.
Palate: Very fruity with dark cherries, spices and a nice freshness heading into the mid palate, a touch of salted caramel and vanilla hits the palate leading to a nice rich finish.

About l'Encantada
L’Encantada is an independent bottler dedicated exclusively to Armagnac, specialising in small-batch and single cask releases sourced from some of Gascony’s most characterful and traditional producers. Founded in 2011 by a group of friends, including Vincent Cornu, Fred Riviere, and Christelle and Ludovic Bénisset, L’Encantada was created with a simple mission: to share the authentic, often overlooked treasures of the Armagnac region with spirits enthusiasts around the world.
The name L’Encantada means “the enchanted” in Gascon, reflecting both the founders’ deep appreciation for the spirit and the magical quality of the liquid they bottle. Working as négociants, the team travels throughout the Armagnac region, seeking out exceptional barrels from small, often family-run estates, many of which do not bottle or export under their own labels. These casks are selected for their individuality, purity, and sense of place.
This approach mirrors the transparency often found in high-end whisky bottling, making L’Encantada a bridge between the worlds of Armagnac and fine single malt for collectors and connoisseurs.
