Leiper's Fork Bourbon Bottled in Bond 50% ABV

A fascinating bottled-in-bond bourbon from Tennessee-based Leiper’s Fork. The five year old expression has a 70% corn, 15% wheat, 15% malted barley mashbill, and is made from mashing through to bottling on-site at the distillery. The team are aiming for a pre-Prohibition style with a low distillation and barrel entry proof – and we think they’ve more than achieved it. A full-bodied, well-rounded bourbon that’s a must-try. 

Tasting note:

Nose: Immediately rich and chocolatey, with soft butterscotch notes and a delicate herbal quality in with the sweetness.

Palate: Mouth-coating and velvety, the texture is backed by creamy oak, cherries, cinnamon cookies and an aromatic dried citrus quality.

Finish: The herbal note returns in the medium-length finish
