Lark 4 Year Old 2016 Berry Bros. & Rudd 60.2% 70cl

This is a rare find and one that might have been off some peoples radar but not anymore! Lark distillery is on the Australian island of Tasmania established over 30 years ago this family distillery has become world famous for its amazing range including this rare bottle.
Be aware this dram has all the hallmarks of something much older than its age suggests.
Nose : A lively nose to begin with that opens up to deliver some nicely balanced tropical fruits and hints of spice with a twist of something deeper like dates and dark chocolate.

Palate: A wonderful opening to the palate that reminded us of fresh baked sponge cake or was it Victoria sponge with jam and fresh cream! The vanilla note opens the palate a little more with each sip.
Some more tropical fruits come into play as this dram settles into a pattern of revealing layers of taste, pomegranate and pears mingle with some coco nibs and Crème Brulee just to make this dram even more complex right to the very rich finish
