Kilchoman is Islay's newest distillery, opening in 2005, and has quickly become a firm favourite at Milroys. An independent farm distillery, they focus on barley provenance, quality cask selection and bottling in small batches for that attention to detail.
Kilchoman use heavily peated malt, but use a long fermentation and slow distillation which results in floral, elegant notes as well as that classic Islay smoke.
In this dark and luxurious whisky, rich sherried flavours interplay beautifully with that floral peat style. We love it!

Nose: Fragrant heather, raisins, pear, some vineyard aromas add to the nose with green and red grapes, orange peel with waves of stoned fruits, mixed spices and rich peat smoke.

Palate: Over ripe plums, red cherries and hints of citrus give way to rich barbecue peat smoke, toffee, oak and dark chocolate, The finish has a Mouth-coating mixed fruit, caramel, cinnamon and clove with layers of brown sugar, spices, peat smoke and lasting sweetness
