An incredibly floral whisky here from Taiwan's celebrated Kavalan Distillery. This is all about the art of blending, with the team crafting a superbly smooth, well-integrated dram. It works superbly sipped neat, and in cocktails.
Nose: With a deliciously rich and smooth aroma of tropical fruit, creamed banana and soft brioche with a honey and citrus cream glaze, farm fresh butter and vanilla pod.
Palate: Some stewed rich summer fruits, hints of peach and soft apricots with a dash of sweet spices, some sweet floral tones glide across the mid palate to reveal a soft toffee and cream flavour, light golden honey with a touch of breakfast pancakes.
Finish: Dries elegantly into soft, dusty sweet spices and gentle oak.
