Jameson Irish Whiskey 40% ABV
An exquisite Irish whiskey here, this really is a benchmark in blends from the Emerald Isle. Made in Midleton, Co. Cork, this sees pot still and grain whiskey from both ex-American bourbon barrels and Spanish sherry butts beautifully married together. Jameson’s history stretches back to the 1780s – it’s a recipe that’s stood the test of time. Marvellous sipped neat and over ice, or in an array of cocktails.
Nose: Floral with sweet toffee, fudge and vanilla giving an incredibly gentle introduction. Gentle sweet spices give an aromatic lift.
Palate: Honeysuckle and linseed oil give way to green orchard fruits, marmalade and an almond nuttiness. The texture is gently warming with a round mouth-feel.
Finish: Medium-length and oaky with more of that honeysuckle.
