A very exciting expression here – one of our very own exclusive Soho Selection bottlings! This is an eight-year-old expression from Speyside distillery Glenrothes, with a rather fascinating maturation history. It started life in a first-fill Palo Cortado cask, before being reracked into a sherry butt in October 2020. It's a perfect addition to the Soho Selection range, which focuses on flavour-forward whiskies usually at a younger age.
This expression was released as an exclusive for our bar and shop. But while it's closed for maintenance we've got a few bottles for our online customers. Snap one up while you've got the chance!
Tasting notes: Rich and jammy with stewed fruits and Eccles cake - and a good helping of citrus notes, too.
