Usually reserved for blending, this is a rare opportunity to explore an older release from the single malt producer from a hogshead.
Tasting note:
Nose: Aromatic and mouthwatering, the nose opens with boiled sweets before orchard fruit, milk chocolate and a dusting of liquorice arrive.
Palate: Surprisingly zesty for its age, the release opens with marmalade on toast before pomegranate and earthy sweet spices arrive.
Finish: Medium length with more of those spices.
