The Old Particular range presents whiskies just as the distiller intended – at natural colour and without chill-filtration. And this is no different! Glen Garioch is one of the oldest operational distilleries in Scotland, and this 12 year old whisky is a great example of its waxy, mouth-filling signature character.
Nose: Immediately sweet, with a strawberries-and-cream, brown sugar quality. Gentle pepper cuts through the lightness.
Palate: Syrupy and waxy, with coconut, milk chocolate, raw whole vanilla pods, and rich butterscotch.
Finish: The sweetness gives way to a gently drying, woody pepper.
