Glen Elgin 24 Year Old 1998 Rare Find #900281 54% ABV

A wonderfully aged single malt from Speyside’s Glen Elgin distillery bottled by Gleann Mòr Spirits for its Rare Find collection. Distilled back in November 1998, the malt slumbered for 24 years in a refill bourbon barrel before it was bottled 2023. Like all bottlings in the Rare Find range, it’s been bottled at natural cask strength, with no added colour or chill-filtration.

Tasting note:

Nose: Super fruity on the nose, there’s apricot, nectarine, pear, ripe banana and vanilla pods, along with sweet spices.

Palate: A little nuttier on the palate, pecan and walnut appears alongside honey, cooked pears and raspberry jam.

Finish: Medium length with a hint of white pepper.
