Bottled 2020 Ex-bourbon hogshead This 25 year old cask has a palate that exudes elegance, the big surprise is this dram has lost nothing on the palate indeed its a great example of just how good aged drams can become.
Nose: Soft sweet fruits from the start with this dram, tropical fruit cocktail, with a spring sweetness pushing through, sweet pepper, spices and crispy apple, kiwi and pear with hints of peach and mangos add to the most exquisite nose.
Palate: Some sweetness of course but this dram unfolds time and time again with soft orchard fruits, hints of tangerines and root liquorice, some white chocolate and fresh mint, creamed vanilla wafers with a touch of Scottish tablet fudge.
With a complex finish of delicate waffles and maple syrup leading to a more old school waxy note with a hint of leather and spices
