Fercullen 18 Year Old 43% ABV
A wonderfully aged Irish single malt whiskey here from the Powerscourt Distillery team! It’s been fully matured in ex-bourbon barrels for maximum creaminess, with the casks married together prior to bottling. According to the Powerscourt team, it’s a whiskey for celebrating “very special moments”. We’re inclined to agree.
Tasting note:
Nose: A vibrant nose opens with honey, vanilla, almond, cinnamon, plums, cherries and a toasty oak wood, in with coconut and caramel.
Palate: Wonderfully smooth, it’s a creamy whiskey offering vanilla, ripe orchard fruits, caramel, raw cacao and complex sweet spices.
Finish: Medium length with a lingering nutmeg spice.
