Dufftown has done it again with this superbly balanced dram bottled by the team at Berry Brothers & Rudd
Nose: Some sweet nutty notes, lots of dried sweet dark fruits, the sherry cask is very much in play here on the nose, some softer influences also come through like soft sponge and vanilla pod with a gentle spice.
Plate: A much more taste forward palate lifts this dram from the fist sip. Spices and autumnal fruits mingle effortlessly with some soft ripe dates, chocolate and almond add some very rich mid notes, lots of creamy vanilla and strawberries, malt loaf and a sweet peppery edge with spiced cinnamon buns and a hint of soft ginger.
