Dailuaine 16 Year Old Flora & Fauna 43% 70cl

A rich and meaty spirit matured in sherry casks for 16 years, Dailuaine is one of the more boldly flavoured Speyside whiskies. It's a great alternative to more well-known malts such as Mortlach and Glenfarclas, the distillery was established in 1852 in the very centre of Speyside ‚ on one side are Glenallachie and Aberlour, and on the other Dalmunach and Tamdhu! 

The Flora and Fauna range was created by distillery owners Diageo to showcase distilleries that otherwise would not be available as single malts, with almost all of their output being earmarked for blended whiskies.

Nose: Rich fruity with a hint of dark wood spice, some chocolate and berry mix together on this drams rich nose. 

Palate: Deep hints of coca and dried dates, some honey and cinnamon spice, whipped frothy latte milk, some oak and vanilla, subtle strawberry like notes with a hint of rich ruby chocolate.
