Chivas Regal 25 Year Old 40% ABV
Billed as the first ever luxury whisky, Chivas Regal 25 Year Old is regarded as an icon – and for good reason. In pre-Prohibition America it was the stars’ chosen dram, and it was reborn in 2007 to a global audience. The blended Scotch is crafted batch-by-batch under the watchful eye of master blender Sandy Hyslop. A masterful combination of single malt and single grain distilled in Scotland, it’s sumptuous, complex and is the perfect example of why blends should never be overlooked.
Nose: Inviting and rich, the nose opens with deep marzipan, peach and pecan notes, lifted by fresh orange peel. A smattering of black pepper, nutmeg and furniture polish add depth.
Palate: Luxuriously mouth-filling, the palate builds on the nose with chocolate praline, dried orange, sandalwood and toasted brioche.
Finish: Long and gently drying with more dred orange and a dusting of cocoa powder.
