Nose: Having rested for around 31 years in the cask we find it's smooth and robust aromas of tropical fruits, some mellow oak and soft spices, some creamy coconut and honey, a little waxiness flows and binds the aromas together perfectly.
Palate: The vanilla and honey notes we expect from a good scotch of this great age are on the front of the palate, with hints of sweet pineapple, some soft whipped fudge, toasted waffles and candied orange, the waxiness from the nose is always present but never over dominating, rich tasty caramel, with a nice rich citrus note, flaked almonds and coconut flakes, light peach and soft honey in the finish.
