Happily, celebrated duo Thompson Bros managed to get their hands on this refill hogshead, which was distilled back in 2007. Bottled 17 years later without added colouring or chill-filtration, it’s a single malt that offers dried apricot and ginger notes alongside an unusual funkiness. Just 296 bottles of this unusual expression were released.
