Auchentoshan Three Wood 43% Vol Lowland Single Malt Triple Distilled
The classic triple distilled matured in 3 wood types Pedro Ximenez & Oloroso Sherry cask alongside Bourbon casks.
Nose: The most evident thing about the nose is how complete it is with the influence of the 3 wood cask styles used to mature this classic lowland single malt. Lots of rich fruity notes sit side by side with a whipped cream toffee vanilla hints of candy floss, some dark fruits like strawberry and blackcurrant.
Palate: Pleasing soft mellow start with some influence from the nose arrives on the palate, Autumnal fruits with a hint of orange, crisp vanilla wafers dark rich chocolate and raspberry jam.
As this dram heads towards a nicely balanced finish of red and green grapes, toffee apple crisp and soft sweet oak and delicate spices.
