Arran Bodega Sherry Cask
Founded as recently as 1995, Arran has quickly been recognised as one of the leading single malt distilleries.
Named after isle in the Firth of Clyde where the distillery lies, they distil a delicate, floral spirit and place a great emphasis on the variety and quality of casks in which they mature their whiskies.
This particular bottling is matured exclusively in 1st fill sherry casks from Jerez and bottled at cask strength.
Nose: Soft rich fruity autumnal notes, creamy chocolate and golden honeycomb, ripe and succulent fig's, dark chocolate nibs, tangy citrus orange and peach. Some damson and red grape.
Palate: Rich and fruity, some mango and cream with notes of chocolate, soft toffee, dark dried fruits, damson and cherries, vanilla and sweet berries, hints of soft spices, lots of flavour and complexity from the mid to the finish of this superb single malt.
