Ardnamurchan Cask Strength 58.7% 70cl AD/02.22
This expression was created using a 87% peated Barley and 16 Unpeated, Ex Bourbon cask maturation is the most dominant wood style but some addition aging in ex sherry casks have added a little taste twist to this single malt.
Nose: Ripe orchard fruity notes, sweet coastal aromas arrive with a little hint of salted caramel, some old parchment and soft woody notes.
Palate: Some dry spices liven up the front of the palate, soft pears and apple mix with a soft note of peat smoke in the mid palate that grows towards to the sides of the palate, fresh rolled tabaco leaves, hints of wet straw, fruity and spicy with the interplay of peat right to the lingering finish.
