Crafted from a traditional recipe from Puebla, Mexico, Ancho Reyes is the original chili liqueur. It was first created in 1927 by the family Reyes by macerating dried and smoked ancho chillies in cane spirit for six moths to produce a truly unique, fiery tipple. You can use it to spice up a classic margarita, add extra dimension to a paloma or you can just enjoy it neat!
Nose: Pungent and earthy. Dried chili, cinnamon and cocoa.
Palate: sweeter than the nose with a moderate heat. Christmas spices, plum an tamarind follow with a slightly nutty note to balance.
Finish: Smokey heat lingers.
