Nose: A very rich almost earthy note on the front of the nose, dark ripe fruits add another complex layer of aromas, some sweet smoked oak and dark honey.
Palate: The peat smoke is playing a masterful hand on the palate, with dark red fruits and pink pepper corns, some smouldering sweet smoke flavours arrive, damson and green tea, some soft green spices and a hint of caramel and dark cocoa.
This is a great whiskey indeed.
