Distillery cask and distillation notes:
Cask 684 was distilled in 2008 and matured in an ex Bourbon Hogshead whilst cask 1958 was distilled in 2009 and matured in an ex Californian red wine barrel.
The resulting bottling in 2022 is a 12 year old (A.Y.S.) batched single malt scotch whisky which has been bottled at a cask strength of 60.2% ABV
Tasting Notes.
Nose: Tropical fruits with a hint of charred sweet oak, dried peach and cinnamon, salted toffee caramel, some pepper and all spice.
Palate: Apple strudel, toasted walnuts and mild spices opening up the palate, some tangy rich summer fruits, melon and peach, runny caramel and chocolate nibs, sweet toasted paprika, pineapple and syrup, cereal bars with a lemon and orange drizzle, with a little waxiness and soft coastal notes this dram has a lot of layers.
