Zhuyeqing Jiu 10 Year Old (Bamboo) 38% Vol – 50cl
This baijiu is infused with bamboo leaf and herbs.
Nose: Citrus and dark honey at the front with a little dried herbal notes, almost polished leather richness, honeysuckle and spices, dried candied peach and apricots, sweet waxy aromas add to the already complex nose.
Palate: A nice balance of dry fruits, nutmeg, glazed ring doughnuts, toasted caramel, butterscotch, candied fruits, glazed lemon cream citrus biscuits, golden barley sugar candy, a hint of hessian and shortbread, a little hint of liquorice but so subtle its more like a seasoning that really rounds this Baijiu off nicely.
This is a very enjoyable Baijiu indeed.
