Limited to 300 bottles, this exclusive 23 year old from Speyside Distillery is part of Milroy's Soho Selection. The liquid was matured in French Oak fortified wine butt from Paarl, South Africa, bottled on 25/05/15 at 56.8% ABV.
Tasting Note:
Nose: An instant, enticing hit of tart stewed red fruits combines with roasted chestnuts and golden syrup.
Palate: The flavours eagerly develop, now with Rhubarb crumble and custard and more nutty flavours – peanut butter – being leant to the delicate Speyside spirit by the South African fortified wine cask.
Finish: Peach jam, followed by some candied orange peel and rum-soaked raisins.
