The ethos of Milroy’s Vintage Reserve is to capture the easy elegance of longer-aged distillates. These expressions centre classic whisky styles – and this 23-year-old Inchgower is a fitting addition to the line-up. Rarely seen as a single malt, this Victorian distillery is celebrated for its waxy texture and curious coastal salinity. Rarely seen as a single malt, we chose to bottle this hogshead for its sumptuous red fruit opulence and rich texture. A dram to revel in.

Tasting note:

Nose: Aromatic, light and fresh, the nose opens with dense malty notes, before a strawberries-and-cream quality comes to the fore.

Palate: Richly textured with the signature waxiness, there are apples, peaches and a grassy hint in with rose florals, a sea breeze lightness and gentle soft spices.

Finish: Medium length with gentle sweet spices, and a soft minerality.
