Tomintoul 55 Year Old The Last Drop 41.7% 75cl

41.7% ABV
Great Britain Country

Beschreibung

This stunning 55 year-old Tomintoul is the oldest single malt scotch whisky that The Last Drop have released to date! The liquid was distilled in 1968, less than four years after Tomintoul distillery opened it's doors. In 2020, 6 of these casks were transferred to an Amoroso butt for a further 20 months of maturation.

Nose: Dark fruits and rich fruitcake. Gentle floral fragrances emerge alongside grassy nettles and sweet toffee. Hazelnut, oak and spices develop towards the end.

Palate: Caramelised apples and ripe summer fruits. Fresh herbs and cinnamon tingle on the tongue followed by sweet sticky toffee pudding.

Finish: Long and lingering, balanced and oaky with a surprising burst of floral at the end.
