Der Speyside Single Malt Scotch-Produzent Tomintoul wird für seine Sherry-beeinflussten Drams gefeiert – und dieser gut gereifte, von Pedro Ximénez veredelte Ausdruck bildet da keine Ausnahme. Der im Jahr 2005 destillierte Wein reifte 17 Jahre lang, bevor er in PX-Fässern von Fernando de Castilla verfeinert und anschließend ohne Kühlfiltration abgefüllt wurde.
Verkostungsnotiz:
Nase: Lebhaft und würzig, dazwischen Zimt und Muskatnuss mit getrockneten dunklen Früchten, Zitrusschalen und Bonbons.
Geschmack: Mehr süße Gewürze am cremigen Gaumen, zusammen mit einer reichen Nussigkeit, Weihnachtskuchen und einer subtilen Erdigkeit.
Abgang: Lang mit anhaltenden erdigen Gewürzen.
