Cumbrias The Lakes Distillery ist mit der sechsten Ausgabe ihres Whiskymaker’s Reserve zurück. Es ist eine wunderbare Kombination aus spanischen und amerikanischen Eichenfässern, die mit Pedro Ximénez- und Oloroso-Sherrys sowie Rotwein gewürzt wurden. Es ist eine würzige Mischung, die die Mischungsfähigkeit des Teams unter Beweis stellt.
Verkostungsnotiz:
Nase: Eine fruchtige Extravaganz mit allerlei Datteln, Rosinen, Sultaninen, Preiselbeeren und Marmeladen-Himbeeren, umhüllt von Milchschokolade mit einem Hauch sommerlicher Blumennote.
Geschmack: Reichhaltig, rund und mundfüllend mit noch mehr Frucht, dazu eine kräftige Würze mit Zimt, Muskatnuss und sogar einem Hauch Muskatblüte mit Ahornsirup.
Abgang: Lang und anhaltend, trocknet mit der Zeit zu Eichenwürze aus.
