A fantastically aged single grain from ghost distillery Port Dundas. Aged for 21 years in American oak barrels, it’s remarkable that it’s maintained its ABV for such a period of time. Released by independent bottler Fragrant Drops, this is an essential expression for whisky lovers with a penchant for aged single grain Scotch.
Tasting note:
Nose: Complex yet delicate, with sweet spices, vanilla pods, dried citrus peels, coconut and a dash of white chocolate all coming through.
Palate: More spices here, followed by ice cream wafers, subtle leather, more coconut and a subtle herbaceous note.
Finish: Medium with soft, oaky spices.
