MCJB Jamaican Rum 2008 Little Brown Dog

A vatted and married blended Jamaican rum comprising five spirits from four distilleries:

1. Long Pond 2005 Pot Still

2. Clarendon 2007 Column and Pot Still

3. New Yarmouth 2005 Pot Still

4. Worthy Park 2008 Pot Still

These were filled into a refill bourbon barrel in 2015 and married until bottling. 

The folks at LBD say this is 'possibly one of the best rums we’ve bottled, maybe even one of the best casks we’ve bottled to date'. Strong praise indeed from this brilliant bottler. 

Bottler's own tasting notes: 

Nose: Star fruit, muscat grapes, caramelised bananas

Palate: Gooseberry fool, lime zest, thyme

Finish@ Pomegranate, sponge fingers and all spice.
