Maker’s Mark stammt aus dem Jahr 1954 und ist heute für sein köstlich weiches, cremiges Geschmacksprofil und sein ikonisches rotes Wachssiegel bekannt. Er wird aus Weizen anstelle von Roggen hergestellt, was dem Whisky sein seidiges Mundgefühl verleiht. Für die Bourbon-Freaks da draußen: Er wird auch mit dem geringsten Alkoholgehalt aller US-Whiskys destilliert und bietet jede Menge Geschmack.
Verkostungsnotiz:
Nase: Warm, geröstet und nussig, mit Honigwaben, Milchschokolade und Zitrusschalen, dazu Vanilleeis.
Geschmack: Reichhaltig und rund, das Vanilleeis geht weiter mit Toffee-Apfel, Fudge und einem Hauch Kokosnuss.
Abgang: Mittellang und auf Toast zu Marmelade trocknend.
