Lóchrann Aoire from indie bottler Scair Uisce is a multi-distillery blend that showcases modern and historical Irish whiskey-making. The team has taken 15-year-old grain from Cooley, a 6-year-old malt from Great Northern that was finished in a peat-infused sherry cask, and a 3-year-old malt from Hinch and combined them to great effect. With bourbon, sherry and Port casks all coming into play, it offers an array of fruity, bakery and spice sweetness, with a subtle touch of campfire smoke to ground it all.
We’re proud to be the exclusive UK retailer for Lóchrann Aoire, which celebrates not only great whiskey, but also the loyalty, joy and love of dogs. After all, it’s Scair Uisce founder Mark’s collie Kira that appears on the bottle!
