Another remarkable spirit from independent bottler Fragrant Drops. This time the team has selected a French brandy aged for three decades in an oak hogshead from the same country. It’s full-bodied and bold, but still retaining an elegance. An impressive release, and a must-sample for Cognac and Armagnac drinkers.
Tasting note:
Nose: Rich and bold, with dark chocolate, raisin, pecan, walnut, magnolia and subtle herbal notes.
Palate: Awash with butterscotch, caramel and aromatic spices, wrapped up in a velvety texture. Very subtle smoke comes through, too.
Finish: Long with lingering complexity.
