A fascinating release from renowned independent bottler duo, Thompson Bros. The whisky started life back in 2011 at Ailsa Bay distillery (indie releases often carry the ‘Dalrymple’ name), and it was aged for 13 years in an Oloroso sherry hogshead. It’s as bold and unctuous as you’d imagine! It’s officially not a single malt, although as far as we know it hasn’t been teaspooned… Just 359 bottles of this rich, chocolatey and jammy expression will ever be released.
