An exciting single grain bottling here from Circumstance, one of England’s most sought-after distilleries, bottled by renowned independent bottler Thompson Bros. Distilled on 29 July 2020, this release was aged for three years in an ex-bourbon cask, with a mere 220 bottles released.
Tasting notes from Thompson Bros:
Nose: Lots of floral honey, beeswax, chamomile tea, dried papaya, sage, starfruits and kiwi. Some homemade elderflower cordial and hints of oils and grease. Canola oil and fennel seed.
Palate: Tropical fruits, ripe kiwis, starfruits (again), gooseberries. The honey and wax continues with chamomile and fruit teas (slightly drying) glacier mints
Finish: Soft fruits, elegant and gentle oak char and spice
