Als Teil der Carpathian Single Malt Spanish and Portugal Wine Cask-Kollektion ist diese Pedro Ximénez-Veröffentlichung des rumänischen Herstellers in der Tat ein fruchtbetonter Ausdruck. Es verbrachte drei Jahre in Fässern aus amerikanischer Weißeiche aus Kentucky, bevor es in ehemalige PX-Fässer umgefüllt wurde. Die Carpathian Distillery begann 2017 mit der Herstellung von Whisky und war damit die erste im Land, die dies tat.
Verkostungsnotiz:
Nase: Reichhaltig und intensiv, mit getrockneten Blumen und Nussnoten, begleitet von Aprikosen, Feigen, Rosinen und etwas Eiche.
Geschmack: Viele Mandelnoten neben weicher Vanille, mehr dunklen Früchten, Feigen, getrockneten Zitrusfrüchten und Datteln.
Abgang: Mittellang und anhaltend mit etwas Frucht-Gewürz-Komplexität.
