The highly anticipated first core release from Ballindalloch is here! While Ballindalloch’s history with the Macpherson-Grant family stretches all the way back until 1546, the distillery build only got underway in 2011. One of Scotland’s smallest makers, there’s a huge focus on single estate production (both the distillery and barley fields are within Ballindalloch Castle’s grounds). Worm tub condensers add a robust feel to this otherwise honey-floral spirit. This release, the first outside of distillery-exclusives, has been drawn from 80% bourbon barrels and 20% ex-sherry casks. Just 3,600 bottles will ever be released.
