The mash bill for Rittenhouse Rye is a “barely legal” rye recipe, just over the 51% rye content required by U.S. law, balanced with corn and malted barley. The whiskey is aged primarily in new, charred American oak barrels, which contribute rich caramel, vanilla, and toasty oak notes.
