Crafted by master distiller Robert Fleming, Tomintoul Cigar Malt is complex, rich, and offers a taste of what rare peated Tomintoul is like. Fleming, on his quest for a dram to pair with cigars, has balanced selected vintages with a parcel of the smoky stuff. And everything has either been matured fully or finished in Oloroso sherry butts.
Tasting note:
Nose: The smoke is immediately apparent but not overbearing, and it sits alongside marble cake, raisin, and sweet spices.
Palate: Jammy berries come through alongside milk chocolate, warming oak, and the smoke is never too far away.
Finish: Long with cinnamon and lingering earthy smoke.
